I love browsing the interwebs whenever I can’t sleep. I find the most awesome things sometimes.

I hadn’t had time to watch my YouTube subscriptions lately. But, I did find this little gem among the list. It’s a video of one of my best friends singing “Closer to Fine” by the Indigo Girls. That song holds a special place in my heart. For the last two years at MSMS, I volunteered to be the theatre department’s audio guy. Landslides was the play that really struck a cord in my heart. The story was beautifully tragic (yes, I said that). While it talked of a girl’s coming-of-age, really, it spoke to all of us. At about the time of that play, I myself was dealing with a few hard things. I was coming to terms with many, many difficult ideas, realizations, and decisions. In a way, I felt a connection with the main character.

Happy New Years

What a week! From Monday all the way to Friday, I’ve had many friends over at my house. It has been a wonderful week. I think it was the most perfect way to celebrate New Years and really the first thing done at my house since the fire. I’ve had a chance to spend time with part of my MSMS family. I really miss all of you.

I don’t really make New Years resolutions. I did, however, decide on a few goals for myself. Work harder, complain less, and find love. I do hope I can meet and exceed these goals.

Website Update

I’ve updated my website a little. I’ve added a twitter feed to the left side of the main page. Also, older posts can be browsed. I’ve also enabled commenting again. I’m soon to add the archives and about pages and will most likely update the footer soon.
